RICB Granted Licence to Operate in Gelephu Mindfulness City

Thimphu, Bhutan, 28 October 2026: The Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan Limited (RICB) has been granted a licence by the Gelephu Financial Services Office (GFSO) to operate a Branch Office within Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC).

The Branch Office will operate as Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan Limited (Gelephu Branch) and is expected to commence soon.

The branch will offer Long-term Insurance (Life Insurance), Property & Casualty Insurance (General Insurance), and Reinsurance services, providing insurance solutions to individuals and businesses within GMC.

The establishment of the branch marks an important milestone in RICB’s expansion into GMC, strengthening its presence in one of Bhutan’s emerging economic centres. It will enable the Company to address the evolving insurance needs of the City’s growing business community, explore new opportunities, and contribute to the development of GMC’s business ecosystem.
